Welcome back to the WANDERBIRD Trophy Kappl/See – where we continue to write the story of one of Austria's most exciting emerging Hike&Fly destinations. After our successful premiere last year, we return to the majestic Paznaun Valley with even more potential to unlock. This year, we've moved the event earlier in the season to capture the valley's optimal flying conditions, promising an even more thrilling adventure in this perfect alpine setting.

A Vision Taking Flight
Our inaugural event didn't just open a new competition venue – it helped establish a safe flying framework for an entire region. Working closely with local authorities and the paragliding community, we've helped map out the potential of this remarkable area. The steep faces of the Paznaun Valley create a unique playground for Hike&Fly enthusiasts, offering challenging ascents and rewarding flights for those ready to explore beyond the beaten path.

Perfect Timing, Perfect Place
Moving to an earlier date in 2025 opens up exciting possibilities. The surrounding peaks, which last year wore their autumn snow with dramatic flair, will now showcase their late-summer splendor. This timing promises more stable autumn weather patterns and still longer flying days, allowing us to fully explore the potential this area holds for our sport while maintaining a safe distance from strong summer thermals and valley winds.

SPECS
Turnpoints
The choice of the route between turnpopints is left to the athletes themselves. Precise route planning and dealing with the personal route is an important part of the race preparation.
All athletes must complete the turnpoints in the given order.
When reaching a turnpoint, a photo must be taken as proof.
Event specific details will be explained in the mandatory race briefing.
PARKING & CAMPING
​There are approx. 40 parking spaces also for Camper Vans available at the event site.
